Alliances can sign up for a free MailChimp account, which is limited to 250 contacts, and then utilize it with a braverangels.org email address and data sync tool provided through our Alliance Infrastructure Project (AIP). This option has a cost to Alliances beyond 250 contacts.

In addition to MailChimp, we offer support for 2 MailChimp alternatives:
SendGrid, a MailChimp competitor (similar in cost and complexity)
Our most popular option for early-stage Alliances: An announcements-only Google Group for all alliance subscribers & members (no cost, simpler to use, also more limited)
ALL of these options feature an auto-sync with the BA National contact database for contacts living within your Alliance's defined geography.
More details on the differences between these alternatives can be found here.

State Coordinators and Regional Leads have the option to send newsletters using Action Network. Action Network provides the infrastructure to publish email newsletters, store basic contact information on members and subscribers, and track event participation.
Note: Because of the scope of subscriber data access this option entails, we do not currently offer Action Network access to Alliances.
