Does adding a new or prospective BA contact to our MailChimp "Audience" list, with MailChimp Sync turned on, reliably capture them?
Yes, for the most part. It's important that you capture, at minimum, the participant's zip code.
What if the new or prospective BA contact may already be in Action Network, and we aren't sure?
Capture the contact anyway - both Action Network and MailChimp will de-duplicate based on email address.
Can I add more users to our Alliance's MailChimp account?
You can add admin users to your MailChimp account if you are willing to upgrade to a paid account vs. free.
What happens to a person in MailChimp if they unsubscribe from the National newsletter?
This person's information will still be visible within your Data Toolkit if you choose the "All unsubscribed" list in the ListPicker tab.
This person's information will be dropped from the All BA Newsletter Subscribers list, and disappear from the All Contacts list unless they are an active member or their membership lapsed within the last 30 days.
If, during the time this person was subscribed, a MailChimp sync operation took place, then this person's information would be transferred to the MailChimp account's audience database. Subsequent unsubscription from the national newsletter does not delete or otherwise change that person's MailChimp status. They can choose to unsubscribe from MailChimp by clicking on a link in the footer of a message sent from MailChimp.
How can someone unsubscribe from our MailChimp mailing list?
At the end of each email, the subscriber can click the 'unsubscribe' button to be removed from the list.
